Pre-Orders
Why do we do Pre-Orders?
Pre-order isn't a workaround — it's the whole point.
At Tavz we maintain a level of inventory on fast moving sizes and products, and for the rest we operate on a pre-order basis. When you pre-order, you're not buying from a pile of stock that already exists — you're the reason it gets made at all. No overproduction, no unsold stock heading to landfill, no guessing games. Just the right amount, made for the people who actually want it.
As a small, independent brand, we don't have the luxury of mass-producing every size and hoping the right ones sell. Pre-orders let us do things differently. Instead of guessing at demand and quietly discontinuing sizes that "underperform," we produce each size based on what's actually ordered — which means our full size range gets made with the same care, the same fabric, and the same attention to fit, every time. It takes a little more patience on your end, and we don't take that for granted, but it's what allows us to promise real size inclusivity, not just the appearance of it. Every pre-order is a vote for a slower, fairer way of making clothes — and for a brand that's built around fitting everybody, not just some.
Here's how it works: we open a pre-order window for a set period. Once it closes, we place one order with our factory for exactly what's been ordered. It takes around 2-3 months to make, then it ships straight to your door.
Yes, being a small, independent brand means we don't have the capital to hold thousands of units in a warehouse "just in case." But honestly? Overproduction is one of fashion's biggest sustainability problems, and pre-order is our way of opting out of it from day one — every single collection, not just when it's convenient.
It asks a little more patience from you. In return, you get a piece that was never sitting in landfill-bound surplus, made specifically because you wanted it.
Thank you for being part of that with us.
