About Tavz Clothing

Slow fashion, made to move — for men and women.

Tavz Clothing is an independent, mid-luxury fashion brand built on one simple belief: clothes should move with you, not against you. Founded by Ruth Taviansky, Tavz designs movement-first, colour-led menswear and womenswear for people who are done with fast fashion's endless churn — and ready for pieces that actually last.

Every Tavz garment starts with two questions: does it move well, and does the colour make you feel something? From structured, fully lined skirts to tailored menswear staples, each piece — whether from our women's or men's collections — is designed to hold its shape, flatter real bodies, and feel as good in motion as it looks standing still.

Why slow fashion, and why now?

Fast fashion has trained us to expect more, cheaper, faster — and to throw it all away just as quickly. Tavz was built as the opposite of that. We produce in smaller runs across both our menswear and womenswear lines, working closely with our manufacturing partners to get every measurement and finish right. This is mid-luxury fashion with intention behind every seam — not because slow is trendy, but because it's the only way we know how to make clothes we're proud of.

Colour as a design language

Where a lot of contemporary fashion plays it safe in black and neutrals, Tavz leads with colour — across both our men's and women's ranges. Burgundy, teal, terracotta, plum — our palette is chosen the way a painter chooses a palette, not an afterthought bolted onto a "safe" silhouette. Colour isn't decoration here; it's the starting point, whatever you're shopping for.

Made for real bodies, real movement

Tavz is built around size inclusivity as a core value, not a marketing line — because a well-designed garment should work for the person wearing it, not the other way around. Our fits, in both menswear and womenswear, are tested and refined for how bodies actually move through a day, not just how they look on a hanger.

Meet the founder

Tavz Clothing started with me, Ruth — one person, a lot of frustration with an industry built for speed over substance, and a genuine love of colour and movement. I didn't come from a big fashion house or a corporate design team. I built this brand from the ground up: sourcing fabric, working directly with our manufacturing partners on every measurement, styling every shoot, and writing every word you read on this site myself.

I started Tavz because I wanted clothes that actually felt like something — pieces with colour, with movement, with a bit of soul — instead of another rack of fast, forgettable basics. I'm not interested in chasing trends or churning out disposable pieces. I'd rather make something slower, smaller, and better, even if that means doing things the harder way.

This brand is genuinely independent. There's no team of executives signing off on decisions — it's me, doing the work, caring about the details, and building something I actually believe in. If that resonates with you, I think you'll feel it in the clothes.
